- Water Purification: This media is ideal for water filter applications such as cartridge manufacturing, point-of-entry canister filters, backwashing filters, and ultra-pure water systems. The granular activated carbon can improve the quality of water for potable, beverage, kidney dialysis, and hemodialysis use.
- Chlorine and Chloramine Reduction: Activated charcoal water filter media can eliminate or reduce chlorine and chloramine chemicals present in city water, as added by municipal water treatment companies. Coconut shell charcoal can also diminish organics and other substances found in well water.
- Hard and Durable: This media has a high mechanical hardness and chemical stability. It can handle high flow rates and last longer than regular carbon media. Coconut shell carbon can also be reused by backwashing and regenerating with water and air.
- Neutral pH: This media has a neutral pH and does not alter the pH of water. Granular activated carbon filter is compatible with most water treatment equipment and does not leach harmful substances into water.
