Proximal Humerus Plate

Optimized Imaging and High Patient Satisfaction

The icotec Proximal Humerus Plate is used for fractures of the proximal humerus; it is available in two lengths (with three or five shaft holes). The BlackArmor® material enables optimized imaging both intra- and postoperatively. The screws have a diameter of 3.5 mm and are available as locking or cortical screws in standard lengths.

Indications

Indications
  • Fractures
  • Nonunions
  • Osteotomies of the proximal humerus

More detailed descriptions of the indications and precautions can be found in the relevant surgical technique.

Benefits and Characteristics

  • Optimal assessment of the fracture reduction and surrounding biological tissue
    due to the BlackArmor® material

  • Conventional open surgical technique
with fixed-angle screws and versatile instrument sets

  • Limited tissue adhesion
leads to higher patient satisfaction, higher shoulder motility, and simpler explantation after healing

Radiology

Radiology

X-ray, a-p (abdomen-back)

The height of the plate position can be seen very clearly in the a-p X-ray image, as can the fracture reduction and screw position.

X-rays, Y imaging

The plate does not cover the bones in Y imaging; the reduction of any fragments can be assessed optimally.
